Buffy the Vampire Slayer

Buffy the Vampire Slayer has been a favorite show of mine for some time so imagine my excitement to turn on my new satellite TV from DVDbut there is something about being able to turn on the TV and see it playing on a channel that makes me want to watch it anyway. For those of you unfamiliar with the show it is about a teenage girl who discovers that she is the chosen one or the vampire slayer. In the show there is a history of one girl being chosen and she alone must fight evil. Upon her death a new slayer is chosen and she must fulfill her destiny. It sounds really serious but Joss Whendon does an amazing job or adding humor, not to mention some amazing special effects, to make the show really likeable. Along the way Buffy makes some really great friends and tries to live a normal life while also fighting evil daily. The show is no longer making new episodes but there are several old ones that still remain classics. Buffy the Vampire Slayer was one of the first non-musical shows to do an entire episode with song and dance. It was an amazing performance and even the commentary was done in song by director and creator Joss Whedon.
